This project is best suited for an advanced beginner.
 
The pattern includes instructions for small (3") and large (4") coasters.
 
Skills needed include CH, SC, HDC, DC, SLST, and bobble stitch, in addition to crocheting in the round.
 
Cotton yarn is strongly recommended as coasters can get wet from condensation or spills. I used Loops and Threads cotton (5 skeins, all different colors) with a 4mm hook.
